In order that appropriate provision can be made in Coloniel and Middle Eastern Services Vote for 1949/50, grateful if you would telegraph a list of the projects likely to involve expenditure from His Majesty's Government's free grant of 2250,000 for the University during 1949/50 (repeat 1949/50) together with a rough estimate of the amount to be spent on each.
2. If this information cannot readily be supplied please telegraph estimate of probable total expenditure from the free grant during 1949/50.
